Aina kuulee, miten tässä maassa on kaikki niin hankalaa, vaikeaa jne jne. No nyt on löytynyt paikka, jossa hommat osataan viedä vieläkin pidemmälle! Tässä katkelma eräältä keskustelupalstalta löytyneestä topikista (7.4.2017 aloitettu keskustelu): "I need some help. I have been told today by our shipper who brings cars from the USA to Australia that the Australian Government has brought in new laws and now takes a zero tolerance for any traces of asbestos entering the country. This means that our shipper may not be able to import the cars that he currently has waiting in the USA to come to Australia. What we've learned so far this week is that two mid 60's model Mustangs had randomly been selected and removed from their containers and samples were taken from (ie brake pads, brake shoes, clutch plates, windscreen sealer and body sealer). One of the cars has a fibreglass hood so samples were taken of the fibreglass as well. The authorities have even taken samples of the wiring harness protective coating in the trunk section. If traces of asbestos are found, there is a $25,000+ fine and the vehicle will be impounded and destroyed at the expense of the owner/shipper." Ensiksi luulin koko hommaa vain vitsiksi, mutta... "Just to fill you in first about the 2 Mustangs that were pulled aside for inspection. They have been allowed in to the country but here were some problems. (1) they have had the asbestos based parts removed (ie brake pads and shoes, clutch and pressure plate, manifold exhaust gaskets and flange gasket as well as some air conditioning parts) and they will have to be destroyed. Both cars incurred a fine of $5,000 each." Eli autoista puretaan osia pois maahantulon yhteydessä ja läntätään kevyitä sakkoja päälle. Fiksua hommaa. Kyseinen jantteri sai lopulta puratettua vaadittavat osat autostaan ennenkuin uskalsi shipata auton Australiaan Siellä on nytten sitten vaihdelaatikko, pakosarjat yms irtonaisena foortin lavalla pyörimässä, jotta auton pystyi shippaamaan. Milloin Suomessa??
