MGB 74: ignition issues, help needed

Overdrive.fi on harrasteautoiluun keskittyvä verkkosivusto, joka tarjoaa sisältöä harrastajien ja rakentajien tarpeisiin.     Moi,

    I brought recently my MGB from Germany to Helsinki. Engine was restored by mechanic in Germany. Had now yesterday ignition problems, first backfire while driving, then car stopped, now there is no spark at all. The ignition contact is probably not in right place/worn out (first guess). Does anyone have a recommendation who could help with this? I can take out the distributor myself and check contact and condensator with handbook, not sure about rest. Car and I live in Helsinki.
