mistä kuvia ja tietoa fordeista 30-luvulla

tuli ostettua rodi projektiksi joku fordi 30-luvun puolelta,(?)ainakin alkuperäset vanteet on pinnavanteet,ovet kaapparimallit,rättikattoluukku,erilliset etuvalot lokareiden päällä,ym.ym.malli on aikalailla saman näkönen ku -34 victoria,mut kori on todella pienikokonen?

 

Brittfordeista löytyy jenkkimallien "kääpiöversioita". Kuvauksen puolesta voisi olla vaikka Ford junior.

aika lailla saman mallinen kun toi junior,mutta aika lailla samanmallinen kun victoria.juniorissa paljon lyhyempi toi keula tosta tuulilasista tohon konepellin saumaan.mutta onkos tota victoriaa tehty neloskoneella?ja mihinköhän vuosimalliin on tullut ekat nestejarrut?tossa on vielä vipujarrutkin. :-?

 

USA fordia on tehty nelos koneella 32 vuodesta 34 vuoteen asti rinnan v8:n kanssa. Myös englannissa on tehty v8 koneisia isompia fordeja kuin junior. näitä tuskin on kumminkaan tuotu suomeen. Vanhassa fordin mainoksessakin on juniorin lisäksi vain usa ford.
Nestejarrut on tullut fordiin niin myöhään kuin 39.
En niin paljon tiedä 34 fordista että osaisin sanoa varman tuntomerkin suuntaan tai toiseen, mutta usa fordissa ainakin on ovaali messinkinen tyyppikilpi tulipellissä jossa lukee ford motor company ja sarjanumero.

 

33-34 USA Fordien eroja

Tässä vähän kerättyä tietoa -33 ja -34 USA-Fordien eroista:
(enpä jaksanut kääntää, jos joku kohta ei luonnistu niin voi kysellä...)

One difference in the 33-34 Ford was in the grill. On the 33 the bars and grill had a curve in the bottom of them, the 34 grill had straight grill bars.

Most chassis and running gear is the same but the radiator monts had to change because they cracked on the '33 models so were made stronger for the '34 model year.

The '33 bonnet sides have louvres curved to follow the form of the grille and there is only one chrome plated release handle on each side at the middle of the lower edge. The '34 has straight louvres and two painted handles on each side, one at each end of the bonnet.

The '33 bonnet top curves towards the grill and has a distinct rolled edge where the bonnet and grille meet. The '34 is flat and simply butts against the grille.

The radiator caps are different as are the cowl vents, the '34 featuring an integrated mesh screen not able to be fitted to the '33.

Under the bonnet, the '34 has a small hole for the bonnet catch in the lower cowl sides, whilst the '33 has a small hook riveted to the cowl side.

The top of the '34 cowl has a small notch on each side in which to rest the bonnet when it is open. The '33 has a smooth cowl edge with no notches for the bonnet.

Up front, the headlamps for both years share a common lense and retainer, however the '33 has a much longer bucket compared to the '34 and a different reflector. The horns are the same for both model years.

The '33 models have the most gorgeous sculpted outside door handles with a neat little fluted motif, whist the '34 has a rather plain looking smooth version.

The '33 front door windows roll straight down into the doors whilst for '34 the first rotation of the window crank moved the glass backwards to create a vent opening at the front edge of the door. Thus, the '34 door is easy to identify from a '33 as it features a small flat, 'filler' section running vertically up the window opening on the hinge side of the door.

The '33 models have a separate instument panel with chrome trim and engine turned facia inserted into the dash and holding the dials. For '34 the dials were revised and installed in holes cut directly into the dash metal. '34 models also have an ash tray cut into the centre section of the dash panel.

'33 models feature a small plated metal loop for the inside door pulls, whilst '34 models feature a rope type door pull.

'33 models use a leather strap type door stop, whilst for '34 models this part is made of rubber.

'33 models have longer tailamp stands compared to '34 models and the filler panel between the rear fenders and body, covering the fuel tank is different.

Whilst looking the same, the bumpers and irons are also different, as the centre bolt holes are closer together on '33 models compared to '34.

In the chassis, the front crossmember and radiator support brackets are different as are the brake mechanisms.

There's heaps more small differences that often catch folks out thinking that much of the '33 stuff will interchange directly with '34, but even the fenders are different, although swapping them is only a matter of elongating a few mounting holes. However, the front fender valance is completely different pressing and the fender bracker to chassis crossmember brace is pressed metal for 1934 and steel rod with flattened ends for '33.
